LUO Dong

Director, Director of Photography

 

A young filmmaker who served as the director of photography for Quattro Hong Kong II (2011), the opening film of the Hong Kong International Film Festival directed by Stanley Kwan. In 2013, he collaborated with director Zhang Meng on the film Uncle Victory (2014), which was nominated for the Best Film of the 17th Shanghai International Film Festival(SIFF) Golden Goblet Awards and won the Jury Grand Prix.

In 2015, Luo directed his debut film New York New York (2016). He worked with Zhang Meng in 2018 as the director of photography for On the Balcony (2019). In 2022, his directed the film May(2023), which won the Best Director Award in Asian New Talent Section at the 25th SIFF.

The same year, together with Zhang Meng, he shot the Chinese New Year short film The Comeback (2022) for Apple, which won several accolades, including the One Show’s 2022 Gold Pencil, the Spikes Asia Award, and the Gold and Silver Lions Award of Cannes Advertising Festival. In 2023, Apple once again invited him to shoot their Chinese New Year short film, Through the Five Passes (2023).

 

 

YU Baimei

In 2014, Yu Baimei wrote and directed the film "The Breakup Guru". In 2015, he wrote and directed the film "Devil and Angel". In 2017, he served as presenter for the film "Wolf Warriors". In 2019, he wrote and directed the film "Looking Up". In 2020, he wrote and directed the film "My People, My Homeland: Our Way Home", and served as executive producer for the drama series "The Romance of Tiger and Rose". In 2021, he wrote the film "My Country, My Parents: Windriders". In 2023, he wrote and directed the film "Ping Pong: The Triumph". In 2024, he wrote and directed the film "Mondays", and served as executive producer for the film "Biao Ren" and the drama series "Fight for Beauty", and directed the AI short film "Go Away All Evil".

Yu Baimei’s other works as a screenwriter since 2000 include "Potatoes’ Diary", "A Family in the Northeast", "Xian Ren Ma Da Jie", "Xian Hu Jia", "Fang Qian Wu Hou", "Invincible Sanjiaomao", "Dinner Party", "Yan’an Ai Qing", "Qi Pa Yi Jia Qin", etc.

 

 

 

YU Xiaofeng

Professor and Dean of the Management School at Beijing Film Academy, where he concurrently holds the position of Deputy Secretary of the General Party Branch; Council Member of the China Film Association.

His works have won over 20 domestic awards, including "The Best Works Award" for Ethical & Cultural Progress, China Huabiao Film Awards, Golden Rooster Awards, NRTA Outstanding Work Awards, and 17 international film awards.

 

 

 ZHANG Youhao

Actor

 

Zhang Youhao is a graduate of the Central Academy of Drama, majoring in Acting. He rose to prominence with his explosive performance in the crime drama Across the Furious Sea, which earned him the Best Supporting Actor award at the inaugural Asian Art Film Festival. He also received the Most Media-Attention New Actor Award at the 23rd Shanghai International Film Festival’s China Movie Channel Media Awards for his performance in Farewell, My Lad.

Zhang’s body of work spans a wide range of genres—from coming-of-age dramas and crime thrillers to historical war epics and realist films. Known for his sharp understanding of character and emotionally grounded performances, he consistently brings depth and vitality to the screen. His versatility and powerful presence have made him a standout among the new generation of Chinese actors.

His notable film credits include Across the Furious Sea, The Volunteers trilogy, Hovering Blade, Tainted Love, On Your Mark, and Five Hundred Miles.
