Digital Immersive Film and TV Exhibition - VISION LAB Overview

To foster emerging cultural industries, Shanghai International Film Festival has introduced for the first time the "Digital Immersive Film and TV Exhibition - Extrasensory Test Field " event in the SIFF Market section. Accademically supported by the CUC XR Lab of the School of Theater, Film and Television, Communication University of China, it will offer you deeper insight into the role of VR, AR MR and film and TV equipment in the field of digital film and TV and their influence upon the audience, when they are combined with the world of film, TV, drama or other art disciplines.

Virtual Reality (VR) Interactive Experience: Showcase the wonderful collision of technology and artistic language through high-quality VR works in recent years across the world.

Extended Reality (XR) Experience: Gather cutting-edge interesting interactive works, and orchestrate them to present through the combination of gesture tracking and narration.

Film and TV equipment experience project: Select application equipment of technology in the film and TV industry to delight the audience on site with the charm of technology-enabled film and TV.

Display and sale of film and TV-themed derivatives: Set up a display area for film and TV, animation and other derivatives, to allow the audience to have zero contact with their favorite IP images.

Shanghai Film Poster Exhibition: The film poster exhibition, specially directed by Beacon and the China Film Art Direction Academy, features sections such as science fiction, national animation, mainstream cinema, and excellent posters of Chinese cinema by content. While retracing the advancing footsteps of China’s film industry and paying tribute to the classics, it allows the audience to witness in person the ever-growing graphic design capacity of China through the posters to boost their cultural confidence.

The specially curated event - "On the Spot": Invite creators in digital film and TV to discuss and share the application and trend of virtual reality technology in digital film and TV and future life on the spot.

Route for Shot - "Banma Suhe ”Film and TV Experience Tour: Set up artistic frames in Banma Suhe Park as film and TV shooting locations, to create an open public art route, and enrich people’s life with more diverse cultural products.
