SIFF EXPLORE Overview

SIFF EXPLORE, an innovative initiative aiming to improve SIFF's new talent cultivation system, creates a multi-staged new talent incubation system together with Golden Goblet Award Short Film, SIFF Next, SIFF Project, Asian New Talent Awards, and Golden Goblet Awards.

Established in 2019, SIFF EXPLORE, based on mini-shot film works that have a running time of 5 minutes or less, is designed to discover new talents and works, and encourage young creative talents to explore the production of film works to the fullest through solicitation, presentation, tracking, training and other forms. At the same time, it takes the advantage of and exerts the effect of the SIFF platform to integrate social resources and promote the reserve of talents, cultivating and providing new talents for the film industry for its future development.

In the latest three sessions, SIFF EXPLORE invited established director and actress Sandra Ng, actor Chen Bolin, young directors Maizi, Zhou Shengwei, Zhou Ziyang,  Liu Kuo, Ding Sheng,and Cheng Teng,and screenwriter Yuan Yuan, Amei,and actress Li Meng,Qi Xi as judges to select excellent works and promote the growth of new talents.
