SIFF Aims to Produce Multi-industry of Chinese Film

CFPC and Co-FPC, the platform offered by Shanghai International Film Festival, have served as the major venture capital platform for the Asian film industry. The number of films in this film festival has hit a record high, including works of famous directors and producers home and abroad. This year the venture capital platform will work with the Shanghai International Media Group to finance young directors to help them to realize their projects. Many other media groups and organizations have also set up an award and seek cooperation with their counterparts.

Two-hundred-and-nineteen productions from 19 nations and regions have registered in this film festival; and after the approval of the specialists, 35 were selected as the candidates, including nine Chinese films involving venture capital, and 26 joint films. The public statement of VC film and the negotiation on the joint film will be carried out from June 4th to 16th.

Yang Qing, who drew public attention with Ye Dian last year will present his new work The Road 8 .  Well-known director Zhou Zhi will show his new film Big Fish.  Zhang Guoli is also a investor in the production. This platform has appealed to senior producers and directors looking for new opportunities for cooperation and innovation. Many vigorous productions are about urban life , which leaves for the development of embedded ads, an newly emerging force in China.

The Co-FPC is very popular among directors: Hou Yong will show his new film, and Ning Cai Shen will show his comedy.
