SIFF Unveils its Official Cinema List

The 12th Shanghai International Film Festival unveils its Official Cinema today with 25 well-equipped and high-reputation cinemas on the list.

The cinemas locate all around the city, which includes both the long time Shanghai Film Art Center, Yong Hua Cinema City, Cathay Theatre, Stellar Cinema City, and the newly reconstructed such as Ever Shinning Circuit and Stellar International Cineplex. In addition, Shahghai Shangying CGV Cinema and Stellar Lomo International Cineplex join the team after Grand Shanghai Cinema and SFGCGV Cinema in the past 2 years.

In the duration of the 9-day film festival, any of the 25 official cinemas could be selected to enjoy films from SIFF\'s panorama section.

It might be the best year for SIFF\'s international film panorama with special section for the legendary Alfred Hitchcock, Isabelle Huppert, the Jury President of this year\'s Cannes Film Festival and the well-known French New Wave. Moreover, quite a few young filmmakers from different places will make their films\' world premiere during SIFF. Earth Village, a section featuring films by country include Australia Perspective, Focus Germany, Focus on Young Italian Stars, Focus Switzerland, Focus Brazil and Turkey.

During the time, such events like galas and Q&A will bring the audience a real magnificent time.

As always, all films will screen in their original version with Chinese subtitles while at the same time, tickets can be bought in all official cinemas and www.tickets.com.cn and www.ticket2010.com conveniently by a sales net system. The regular price ranges from 35 up to 60 RMB.

The International Film Panorama will be held June 13-21. Details of screening schedule will be available at www.siff.com with the tickets being on sale in about Early June.
