The French Film Panorama Warming up the 12th Shanghai International Film Festival

The annual French Film Panorama will be held in collaboration with Shanghai International Film Festival, Unifrance and the French Embassy in China from April 13 to 19 in Shanghai.

After 6 consecutive years, the French Film Panorama has become an ideal chance for film fanatics to watch the best new french movies made in 2008. The film panorama will also travel to 3 other cities, including Beijing, Chendu and Guangzhou.

12 selected feature films together with 12 shorts will screen in their original versions with Chinese subtitles. Juliette Binoche, the leading actress in PARIS, which is SIFF\'s Jin Jue Award nominee in 2008, will have an interview with the onsite film audience on March 25 in Shanghai Film Art Center. In addition, a French artistic delegation,  composed of twelve renowned directors and actors, will be in Shanghai during the French Film Panorama for Q&A sessions after the screenings.

As the pre-event leading up to the 12th SIFF, the French Film Panorama is part of SIFF\'s efforts on culture exchange by films from different places with different backgrounds.

The 12th Shanghai International Film Festival will be held June 13-21, 2009.
