Directed by Huang Zi, “All About ING” is officially released in domestic theaters today, starring Janis Pang, Howard Sit and Ko Hon Man. Originally titled as “Muling, Yiming, Weiming”, the film was an official selection for the Asian New Talent Award 23th Shanghai International Film Festival in 2020.
“All About ING” tells a story of a traditional Chinese family after the father is diagnosed with terminal disease. The mother has to carry the family burden on her own, while the son is deeply stuck in his youth torment and desperate to escape. Although struggling to live in a peaceful way, the three of them are lost in the midst of life.
From different perspectives of three family members - mother, son and father, the film represents the psychological process of the family from knowing father’s diagnosis of cancer to his death. Through a delicate and profound expression, the film interprets the love and wistfulness that is too shy to express between loved ones, impressing the audience with strong psychological impact.
As the first feature film of Director Huang Zi, “All About ING” is, to some extent, inspired by his own family and life experience.

Among them, Ko Hon Man starring the father has acted in nearly 100 works of drama troupe, with many well-known plays, including “Secret Love of Peach Blossom Land”, “King of Qin, Li Shimin” and “A Dream Like A Dream”.
