Sharing Session of Chinese Animation at SIFF
The Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF), co-organized by China Media Group and Shanghai Municipal People\'s Government, was opened on July 25. Incarnation, as a representative of outstanding domestic animation films, attended the "Sharing Session of Chinese Animation", which was undertaken by the China Media Group Shanghai Bureau on July 27.
The event invited animation cast and crew to SIFF and was broadcast live online by the new media platforms of CCTV News. Incarnation, which is co-produced by bilibili and YHKT Entertainment, attended the event and its updates were released to the audience. The cast and crew interacted with them both online and offline, answering their questions and discussing the development prospect of the Chinese animation industry.
It was reported that it took up to 5 years to complete the production of Incarnation since its project was established in 2014. Upon releasing in 2017, it had attracted close attention from the audience. The 17-minute promotion video (PV) set a new record in view counts on bilibili, becoming the most popular animation PV of it. Last summer vacation, the first half season of its animation drama series went live and ended up with 4 million viewers and more than 100 million view counts.
During the event, the fans on site watched a 40-minute clip of the second half season of the series. Also, together with them, online fans interacted with Ruan Rui, CEO of YHKT Entertainment, Dubbing Director Huang Ying, dubbers Liang Dawei and Tao Dian.
Interview with Cast and Crew
Ruan Rui first answered the question on the production progress of the series and then guaranteed that they will do their best to facilitate the production on the premise of ensuring the quality of the animation. Later, they shared the ideas which they wanted to convey through Incarnation and invited the audience to watch the second half season. During the interaction with the dubbers, Huang Ying, Liang Dawei and Tao Dian not only shared their feelings during the dubbing process, but also performed the famous scenes in the work.
The "Sharing Session of Chinese Animation" undertaken by the China Media Group Shanghai Bureau has brought a series of domestic animation IPs on the stage of SIFF. Interacted with the cast and crew online and offline, the audience got to know the beauty of Chinese animation. This event is aimed to promote the emergence of more excellent domestic animation works and help Chinese independent animation IPs flourish.
