SIFF PROJECT | WIP PROJECT Calling for Registration

The WIP PROJECT unit of Shanghai International Film Festival·SIFF PROJECT has started registration together with SIFF PROJECT on January 1, 2019. It is now open to high-quality film projects, and we will finally select 6-8 projects among all submissions to participate in relevant activities of the film festival. Registration will end on March 25, 2019.

In 2018, SIFF PROJECT added the WIP PROJECT unit for film projects that have already started shooting, completed shooting, or are in post-production, providing more targeted resources and support in investment, post-production, domestic and international distribution, and film festival promotion with the industrial platform effect of Shanghai International Film Festival and SIFF Project.

The project public presentation was held in an active atmosphere with over 300 industry guests during the event, which became a spotlight in the industry. The two-day project fair also attracted many appointment requests from film companies, domestic and international distribution companies and filmmakers. SIFF PROJECT set up a special Phenom Films Project with the cooperation of Phenom Films post operation center to select two among the finalists, and offer a post-production service equivalent to RMB 150,000.

Last year, a total of 6 projects were shortlisted, 5 of which were feature film debuts of Chinese young directors. After half a year, they all made progresses, and some had completed the re-shooting, some were in editing, and some were to be submitted for review and approval. The finished works are expected to meet audiences this year.

In 2019, the WIP PROJECT will shortlist 6-8 projects, and the event will be held concurrently with SIFF Project on June 16-18. The finalists will participate in project public presentation, project negotiation and other activities.

In addition, the submission for New Talent Project, SIFF Project, Co-production Project will come to close in one month, and the registration will be closed on March 1, 2019!
