Screening List of Chinese Film Gala Released

As part of the Sino-Japanese New Production Exhibition, the 2018 Chinese New Production Exhibition will take place in Japan from next Thursday. Now let's take a preview of the Chinese movies to be shown in Japan on the occasion.

The Sino-Japanese New Production Exhibition is jointly held by the Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF), the Tokyo International Film Festival and the Japan Foundation. Previously, the Japanese New Production Exhibition was held in Shanghai, Kunming and Shenzhen during December 1-3 last year, where it has achieved huge success and popularity. 10 excellent Japanese new productions including LEAR ON THE SHORE and THE ANTHEM OF THE HEART premiered in China, attracting a total of around 20,000 cinemagoers in the three cities in just three days. This year, from March 8-14, another event of the program – the Chinese New Production Exhibition will take place in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya, showing 10 of the latest Chinese films to Japanese fans. The Sino-Japanese New Production Exhibition is another active attempt of SIFF to propel cultural exchange and promote Chinese films to “go global”.
