SIFF 2017 is calling for film entries!

The 2017 Shanghai International Film Festival is calling for film entries, starting from November 15. Submission on the website www.siff.com is open to “Golden Goblet Awards Competition”,“Asian New Talent Awards Competition” and “International Film Panorama”.

The 20th SIFF will be held from June 17 to 26, 2017, and the online application for film solicitation is officially open from November 15, 2016.

Golden Goblet Award

The feature-length films that meet the following conditions may be chosen for invitation in Fiction Competition for Golden Goblet Award:

1. Film that has been completed in the country of origin after June 1, 2016.

2. Film that has not been in the main competition category of other FIAPF-accredited non-specialized competitive film festivals before SIFF; Film that has not been released commercially in other than their country of origin.

3. World premiere or International premiere is given priority.

4. The minimum running time is 70 minutes.

5. Format: 35mm film print or DCP.

The feature-length documentary films that meet the following conditions may be chosen for invitation in Documentary Competition for Golden Goblet Award:

1. Film that has been completed in the country of origin after June 1, 2016 and World premiere or International premiere is given priority.

2. The minimum running time is 70 minutes.

3. Format: 35mm film print or DCP.

The feature-length animation films that meet the following conditions may be chosen for invitation in Animation Competition for Golden Goblet Award:

1. Film that has been completed in the country of origin after June 1, 2016 and World premiere or International premiere is given priority.

2. The minimum running time is 70 minutes.

3. Format: 35mm film print or DCP.

Asian New Talent Award

The feature-length films that meet the following conditions may be chosen for invitation in Asian New Talent Award Competition:

1. All films applying for ANTA must be completed in the country of origin after June 1, 2016.

2. Format: 35 mm film print or DCP complying with the SPECIFICATIONS.

3. The minimum running time is 70 minutes.

Jackie Chan Action Movie Week

The feature-length films that meet the following conditions may be chosen for invitation in Jackie Chan Action Movie Week:

1. All films applying for Jackie Chan Action Movie Week must be completed in the country of origin after June 1, 2016.

2. Format: 35 mm film print or DCP complying with the SPECIFICATIONS.

3. The minimum running time is 70 minutes.

International Panorama

The feature-length films that meet the following conditions may be chosen for invitation in International Panorama:

1. Except for tribute or retrospective, all films applying for International Panorama must be completed in the country of origin after January 1, 2016.

2.The minimum running time is 70 minutes.

3. Format: 35 mm film print or DCP.

CCTV 6 Movie Channel Media Award

The feature-length films that meet the following conditions may be chosen for invitation in CCTV 6 Movie Channel Media Award:

1. All films applying for CCTV 6 Movie Channel Media Award must be completed in the country of origin after June 1, 2016.

2. Film that has not been released or is released after January 1, 2016.

3. Format: 35 mm film print or DCP.

4. The minimum running time is 70 minutes.

5. Films in Mandarin must be subtitled in English. Films in minority language or dialect must be subtitled in both Chinese and English.
