Leo Force Pictures Hitches Its Future to Projects Geared for Younger Audiences

 

New entertainment projects include a Chinese remake of the high-grossing Thai youth romance "A Little Thing Called Love."
 

  With young audiences becoming a major force at China\'s box office, Leo Force Pictures yesterday launched a series of new entertainment projects centered on younger generation viewers.

  The projects will cover almost every link in the entertainment industry chain, Leo Force Pictures representatives announced at the 2016 Shanghai International Film and TV Festival. They will include films, TV, games, animation, theme parks and by-products.

  The company will collaborate with famous Chinese scriptwriters and sci-fi novelists to develop film stories related to the vivid lives and emotions of young people, the company said. Some movies will be produced with advanced VR (virtual reality) technology.

  Its new film projects will include a Chinese remake of the high-grossing Thai youth romance "A Little Thing Called Love." There will also be a Chinese sci-fi blockbuster film series of "City of Chaos" which is based on an award-winning story by Mo Xiong.

  A member of the popular boy band EXO, Park Chan-yeol, promoted his latest comedy film "So, I Married the Anti-fan" at the film festival yesterday.

  Set in Shanghai, the film is a light-hearted story about the love between a top pop star and a journalist. It has been adapted from a popular South Korean anime and is scheduled for release on June 30.
