New Works of Renowned Japanese Directors to Appear at SIFF

　　As an important part of the world cinema, Japanese cinema has gone past over one hundred years. And Akira Kurosawa, a renowned Japanese director,was even crowned as "the pictorial Shakespeare."In the Woods,Seven Samuraiand some otherfilms he made had hadhuge influence on numerous later directors. After Akira Kurosawa, some more outstanding directors were bornin Japan. They have created many representative film styles, which allow the audience to fully experience the thrill, reality and imagination in Japanese cinema. From June 11 to June 19, SIFF will present the new worksof some renowned Japanese directors, including Yoji Yamada, Yoshihiro Nakamura, Kiyoshi Kurosawa, Hirokazu Koreeda, Masao Adachi and Sion Sono.Indulge yourself in this tour of Japanese films!
