With the release of film policies in Shanghai to support and boost the Chinese film industry, a complete and mature industry chain will be developed in the city.

“China is still in the lack of film talents in storytelling and production, and favorable policies are expected to impel the industry in many aspects,” officials told a forum titled “Opportunities and Challenges: Conversations on Chinese Film Policies.”

According to Ren Zhonglun, president of Shanghai Film Group, Shanghai plays an important role in Chinese cinema.

“With the support of policies, we are devoted to building up a complete film industry chain in Shanghai,” said Ren.
