Film market opens for product sales,promotion to local and foreign buyers

 

Exhibitors from both China and overseas seeking business opportunities gathered yesterday for the Shanghai International Film Festival\'s three-day Film Market at Shanghai Exhibition Center.

Over 140 companies and organizations are participating in this year\'s film market to promote their upcoming productions as well as to sell products and services.

Leading television producer Huace Film & TV took a high profile booth at the center.

It has created many successful TV series since 2005 but has expanded into producing films, including The Silent War in 2012 and the upcoming film The Crossing.

Huace will also start shooting three films later this year, including Decoded which has been adapted from novelist Mai Jia’s book.

Oriental DreamWorks also set up a prominent booth to promote its upcoming How to Train Your Dragon 2.

Also attending the market were Chinese video website iQiyi, media service provider AirMedia and online and mobile ticket service Gewara.

Foreign film organizations from Germany, Italy and South Korea are also promoting their films and seeking potential partnerships.
