Dazzling Golden Goblet Poster Unveiled for 17th Shanghai International Film Festival
The Organizing Committee of Shanghai International Film Festival today released the official poster for its 17th festival.
The Golden Goblet Award trophy, the festival\'s top prize, is the artwork\'s main visual element and is interwoven with light and shadow. The poster depicts the fantastic art of light, suggesting the film festival will be star-studded and eye-catching.
The 17th SIFF will be held from June 14 to 22 in Shanghai.
Founded in 1993, SIFF is China’s only A-category international film festival. Through its dedicated efforts and focus, the festival has made remarkable contributions to innovation and development in the Chinese film industry. It tops Asian film festivals in scale, growth and vitality.
The design team for this year\'s poster was inspired by the Golden Goblet and it features abstract elements that are colorful, dynamic and modern. The poster is both classic and modern and the wonderful silhouette of the Goblet is reflected on the gently unfolding screen. The artistic values and diversity of ideas of films featured during SIFF are highlighted.
The poster\'s background also includes iconic representations of film to create cheerful, fashionable and colorful scenes of light and shadow. It will help to focus the cinema world\'s attention on the Shanghai festival as it embraces yet again the changes and opportunities of the omni-media age.
