Thai Movie Stars and Producers Kick off \"Focus Thai\" Program
Famous Thai movie stars and film producers kicked off the Thai film program at the 14th Shanghai International Film Festival yesterday with a popular comedy romance called A Crazy Little Thing Called Love.
It is the first time Thai films have been officially involved in SIFF, organisers said.
Leading Thai film business backers will attend the SIFF market to build links between China and Thailand, and push Thai films into the international spotlight.
With a combination of talented and charming stars, lush settings, and compelling stories, the 10 Thai films selected for festival screenings are among the best produced.
They are 32 December Love Error, A Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Bangkok Traffic Love Story, Bang Rajan2, Cool Gel Attacks, Friday Killer, Hello Stranger, Phobia 2, Saturday Killer and The Little Comedian.
Apart from the film showcase, popular Thai stars such as Mario Maurer, Tina Jittaleela and Ter Chantawich, will be available to meet local fans.
After enjoying any Thai movie during the film festival, cinemagoers who keep the film ticket receipt have a chance to win a free round-trip air ticket to Bangkok from Thai Airways International.
