Films Vying for Media Awards Introduced
Films competing for the China Movie Channel Media Awards were introduced yesterday at the Shanghai International Film Festival.
The Seal of Love , which tells the romantic story of Qu Qiubai, was the first to be screened. Director Huo Jianqi, actor Guo Jiaming and actress Mi Zi’an met members of the media and audience at the ceremony.
A total of nine films are competing for the Media Awards which include Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor and Actress in a leading role.
Other nominated films include The Devil Inside Me by Zhang Qi, A Disappearing Village by Lin Lisheng, One Wrong Step by Jiang Tao, Mr. Tree by Han Jie, My Wife by Jin Ge, The Piano In A Factory by Zhang Meng, Memory of Love by Wang Chao and Folk Songs Sing by Zhang Ming,
A special jury panel and registered SIFF journalists will select the winners. The award ceremony is scheduled for next Saturday, June 18.
