SIFF 2026 is calling! Global submissions are now open for the Golden Goblet Awards competitions and the International Panorama. Deadline: March 31, 2026.

 

Submission Guidelines

 

GOLDEN GOBLET AWARDS

Main Competition

 

1.Films that have been completed in the country of origin after April 1, 2025. World premieres or international premieres are preferred.

2.Films that have not been selected in other FIAPF-accredited non-specialized competitive film festivals before the SIFF; films that have not been released commercially other than in their country of origin.

3.Minimum Running Time: 70 minutes.

4.Screening Format: DCP.

 

Asian New Talent

 

1.Films that have been completed in the country of origin after April 1, 2025. World premieres or international premieres are preferred.

2.Films that are Asian directors’ first or second feature films.

3.Minimum Running Time: 70 minutes.

4.Screening Format: DCP.

 

Documentary

 

1.Films that have been completed in the country of origin on or after April 1, 2025. World premieres or international premieres are preferred.

2.Films that have not been selected in the main competition category of other FIAPF-accredited non-specialized competitive film festivals before SIFF.

3.Minimum Running Time: 70 minutes.

4.Screening Format: DCP.

 

Animation

 

1.Films that have been completed in the country of origin after April 1, 2025. World premiere or international premiere is preferred.

2.Films that have not been in the main competition category of other FIAPF-accredited non-specialized competitive film festivals before SIFF.

3.Minimum Running Time: 60 minutes.

4.Screening Format: DCP.

 

Short Film

 

1.Live-action or animated short films that have been completed after April 1, 2025, are eligible for submission. Note that documentary shorts cannot be submitted as live-action projects, while documentaries made using animation techniques may be submitted as animated shorts.

2.Preference will be given to world premieres and international premieres. Chinese films must be world premieres.

3.A running time of 40 minutes or less, including all credits.

4.Films that have not been in the competition category of other FIAPF-accredited non-specialized competitive film festivals before SIFF.

5.Films that must not be exhibited publicly or distributed anywhere in any nontheatrical form before SIFF.

6.Screening Formats: Unencrypted DCP, or unencrypted digital HD formats at 24 fps/48 fps, with aspect ratios that meet cinema screening standards.

 

INTERNATIONAL PANORAMA

 

1.Films that have been completed after January 1, 2025.

2.Minimum Running Time: 70 minutes.

3.Screening Format: DCP.
