Q :When will the tickets for screenings at the 27th SIFF be launched for sale?
A :Ticket sales for this year’s festival will begin:
Online: June 5 at 12:00 noon
Offline: June 5 at 14:00 (screenings from June 13 to June 22)
For screenings across the Yangtze River Delta (click to view schedule), ticket sales will begin:
Online and offline: June 6 at 12:00 noon (screenings from June 20 to June 27)

Q :Where can tickets be purchased?
A :Damai and Taopiaopiao are the official exclusive ticketing platforms for the 27th SIFF. It is recommended to download and use the Damai app and Taopiaopiao app to purchase tickets and learn more about the festival.
For users outside Shanghai, please set your location to Shanghai on the Damai or Taopiaopiao homepage to access the SIFF section.

Q :Where can screening information be found?
A: You can view the information of all films to be screened within the SIFF section of the Damai app and the Taopiaopiao app.
Additionally, you can follow the official website, official Weibo and RedNote accounts of SIFF (www.siff.com) for film and screening information.
Q: How to quickly purchase tickets? (Only supported on the [Damai app] and [Taopiaopiao app])
A: (1) Before sales begin, you can select preferrable films & cinemas from the screening list, click on the “+” icon on the right to add the film to “My Schedule”.

(2) After sales begin, you can purchase tickets from the screening list or directly from your schedule.

Q :Automatic cancellation of pending payment orders
A: Please note that the ticketing system does not support creating multiple unpaid orders simultaneously. If there is already a pending payment order in your account and you proceed to select seats and place another order, the previous pending order will be automatically canceled. The seats locked in that order will be unlocked, and you will need to reselect them in your new order.
Q :How to collect tickets?
A: After purchasing tickets, you can go to the cinema showing the film and use the designated SIFF ticket collection machine on Taopiaopiao. Cross-cinema ticket collection is not supported. You can check ticket details through [Damai App] [My Orders – Movies] or [Taopiaopiao App] [Me - Movie Tickets], or scan the ticket collection QR code or manually enter the ticket code on the ticket machine.

Note: It is recommended to arrive at the cinema 1 hour in advance to avoid crowds and ensure timely entry.
Q :Can electronic tickets be used for entry?
A: All screenings of this festival require valid paper tickets for entry.
Q: Are there any ticket purchase restrictions for this festival?
A: (1) Food and beverage purchases are not available upon ticket ordering at this SIFF.
(2) Each user can purchase a maximum of 4-6 tickets per film. Additionally, vouchers, exchange vouchers, qualification vouchers, inflation fund, cinema cards, 88VIP cards, LeYing cards, and viewing fund cannot be used for purchases at the sessions for SIFF.
iOS and Android users can now enjoy UnionPay mobile payment and exclusive discounts by updating Damai app to version 8.10.12 or later or Taopiaopiao app to version 11.16.1 or later.
Note: If the users share the same account, ID number, phone number, IP address, mobile device, payment account, or in other reasonable circumstances that they may be treated as the same person, the orders will be deemed as the purchases from the same user.
Q :Can tickets be refunded or exchanged if there are last-minute changes?
A: Due to the special nature of SIFF screenings, all tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
Q: Can ticket orders and points be credited to Damai and Taopiaopiao VIP membership?
A :Ticket orders can be credited to Damai and Taopiaopiao VIP and earn points as usual.
Q :How to request invoices?
A :The invoice issuance process for SIFF orders is the same as regular orders. You need to contact the cinema where you purchased the tickets for invoice matters.
Q :Are there children’s tickets available?
A :The SIFF screening sessions operate on a one-ticket-per-person basis, with assigned seating. There are no children’s tickets available.
Q :Are there any ticket discounts or subsidies available?
A :For this SIFF, ticket purchases are eligible for exclusive “dual benefits” from SPD Bank and UnionPay (limited quantity). For specific discount details, please refer to the official updates regarding ticket subsidy rules.
Q :Will there be any special screening events this year?
A :This SIFF will feature three marathon screenings at Shanghai Film Art Center and The Grand Theater.
