The 27th SIFF Open for Media Registration

The 27th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) is scheduled to take place from June 13 to June 22, 2025. The media registration channel opens on April 15 at www.siff.com. The deadline is 24:00, June 8.

Recognized by FIAPF as the first international competitive feature film festival in China, SIFF has witnessed the evolvement and flourishing of Chinese cinema since its inception in 1993. The successful organization of each edition has been made possible through the dedicated engagement and steadfast support of our media partners, both domestic and international.

The year 2025 marks the 130th anniversary of world cinema and the 120th anniversary of Chinese cinema. In this commemorative year, we cordially invite our media friends to join us in Shanghai this June to celebrate this grand occasion and share the new progress in China's film industry as well as the emerging trends in global cinema.

Application Steps

Media personnel applying to become the registered reporters for the 27th SIFF, please visit www.siff.com on your PC, enter the “Media Accreditation” section under “Registration & Submission”

According to the registration notice, please fill in the registration application form accurately, and upload the supporting materials as required, including the standard ID photo taken within half a year, the information page of the press card issued and annually inspected by the national competent authority, and the letter of introduction issued and sealed by the unit. For website and new media covering and editing staff, please upload a photocopy of the ID card and the collective registration certificate issued by the unit, and indicate the name of the website or new media.

To facilitate the application evaluation process, please upload the link of recent reports on SIFF or other film-relevant fields, or send the link of relevant reports to press@siff.com. The above links are not required, but they will be important reference factors when the organizing committee reviews media qualifications. The organizing committee reserves the right to approve or decline registration based on the submitted materials.

After the registration application is submitted, the organizing committee will check your relevant information. When your registration is approved, we will send a confirmation letter to your registered email address. The confirmation letter will explain how to use the electronic media certificate. Otherwise, no further email notification will be made.
