As part of SIFF's "6+1" step-by-step new talent incubation system, SIFF EXPLORE is the first step for young filmmakers to take toward the Golden Goblet Awards, and it is also seen as a place where young people can create unlimited possibilities and where their dreams as young creators begin.

Registration Notice

Running time: Within 5 minutes (including 5);

Production time: April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024;

Genre: Drama, documentary, animation, experimental, etc.;

Quality requirements: Limited to MOV or MP4 high-definition format, 1080p HD (encoded with H.264), in compliance with 2K standards for screening;

Shooting format: Landscape or portrait;

Applicants: The creator who owns the copyright of the work or their authorized representative. Each work can only be submitted by 1 main creator;

Registration period: December 16, 2023 to March 31, 2024.

SIFF EXPLORE was established in 2019 as an important initiative to improve the cultivation of new talents and create a step-by-step incubation system for new talents. This section aims to establish a long-term mechanism for discovering new talents and exploring new works through the collection, promotion, tracking, and training of short video works within 5 minutes (including 5 minutes) in length. It encourages young creative talents in the field of visual arts to bravely explore and create, paving the first step towards making feature films. At the same time, leveraging the advantages of the platform and integrating social resources, it promotes talent reserves, and cultivates and delivers cutting-edge talents for the future development of the film industry.
