The Dream Chasers Know No Limit - SIFF SHOOTING 48H of the 25th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) is in the midst of intense preparations, and has released a trailer themed FIGHT ON today. The trailer, directed by the young director Wang Renchao, winner of the "Ultimate Challenger" award of SIFF SHOOTING 48H at the 24th SIFF, features vivid and inspiring images to encourage the participants this year to fulfill their filmmaker dreams.

In 2021, the young director of this trailer Wang Renchao garnered the “Ultimate Challenger” award at SIFF SHOOTING 48H during the 24th SIFF for LOST IN HER.

With 48 hours to complete the script writing, field filming and post-editing, the participants are faced with all kinds of unforeseen challenges at any time. Having had a successful experience in a 48-hour extreme competition, Wang Renchao hopes that this trailer will encourage all the participating teams and help bring out their creative power under extreme conditions, for them to overcome difficulties and solve problems, and to carry the competition to the end.

The countdown to the 48H Video Challenge has already started. On June 8, 8 teams will arrive at the Shanghai International Resort; on June 9, a panel of instructors formed by directors Yi Xiaoxing, Pengfei and Wang Renchao will offer training to the teams for creation, and the teams will draw lots to determine the keywords and shooting locations for the competition this time.

On June 10, the competition will officially kick off after the 48-hour countdown device is set in motion; on June 12, the participating teams will submit their finished works, and three honorable referrers, presenter and producer of film and TV productions Liu Ruifang, director Liu Xiaoshi and screenwriter and director Su Lun, will evaluate the 8 film works in the dimensions of innovative ability and execution capability to select the winners.

This SIFF Shooting 48H will be jointly sponsored by the Administrative Committee of Shanghai International Resort, Publicity Department of the Pudong New Area Committee of the Communist Party of China (Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau), and Shanghai International Film & TV Festivals, Co., Ltd., and co-sponsored by M-Station.

The SIFF Shooting 48H, developed around the internationally acclaimed competition framework of producing works within 48 hours, is introduced specially by Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) in 2021 to discover innovative creators for Chinese-language cinema. Underpinned by the concept of innovation and breakthroughs, this programme leads 8 professional filming teams to a summer party of film art, and the 8 teams, backed by the brand influence of SIFF and the hand-on training, are expected to draw inspirations from the landscapes and create in 48 hours. Challenging, pioneering and entertaining, this event has kept attracting ingenious young film creators to exchange, create and explore the filmic language for ideas together.
