6 days Countdown to the SIFF 48H Team Recruitment! The Fine Views of Pudong Is Waiting for Your Camera!
During the 25th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF), the Dream Chasers Know No Limit - SIFF 48H is scheduled to take place from June 9 to 13. At present, the recruitment of participating teams is well underway, and there are only 6 days left before the deadline on May 20.
This year, SIFF SHOOTING 48H will be held in the Shanghai International Resort, Pudong New Area, Shanghai. Echoing the activities of the Belt and Road Film Week, this programme will leverage the supporting policies of the Shanghai International Resort for the film and TV industry to help outstanding young creators to settle down and grow here in Shanghai.
Registration requirements
1. Directors shall have produced at least one short film work;
2. Teams shall be equipped with directors, producers, photographers, lighting personnel, art personnel and other functional personnel as well as the cast;
3. Each team shall designate one person as the head to communicate and coordinate with the event organizer for participation, on-site shooting and other related matters.

Before May 20: Open recruitment for participating teams
On June 8: The participating teams will arrive at Shanghai International Resort
On June 9, Shooting training, location scouting
On June 10: The official launch, drawing of lots for the shooting scenes, and the countdown to the competition
June 10 to 12: The participating teams will shoot, and the competition will end on the morning of June 12, with final works submitted
Morning of June 13: The participating teams observe and communicate

Over the past 30 years of development and opening up, Shanghai's Pudong New Area has been the land of rapid growth and prosperity with modern landmarks rising up one after another to showcase Pudong's unique geological strength, open and innovative mindset and great prospects.
During this SIFF 48H themed "To Create for the Future", the teams will draw inspirations from the fine views in Pudong New Area, especially in the Shanghai International Resort, to show the multifaceted creativity of young people with an international perspective through this extreme challenge of creation.

MAXUS
MAXUS is the first lawn-inspired open-air sunken music theatre in Shanghai, located on the south side of the Shanghai International Resort, covering an area of approximately 88,000 square meters. Featuring 3,000 seats in lawn-adorned rings, it has successfully hosted events such as Tan Dun symphonic works concerts, Harry Potter film series themed concert and the Russian multimedia ballet Swan Lake.
Momchilovtsi Herb Garden (South Garden)
The Momchilovtsi Herb Garden (South Garden) is a large artificially planted themed floral garden, located south of the Bright Ecological Park and east of Wishing Star Lake, spanning an area of 200,000 square meters, where the Shanghai Lavender Festival is held in May and June every year.
Weichang River Water Sports
The Weichang River water sports base comes with a 10-kilometer scenic waterway. It is a first-class water sports base for rowing, dragon boats and canoes in China, and also an ideal shooting location for new water sports.
Bicester Village Shanghai
The Bicester Village Shanghai, sited in the heart of the Shanghai International Resort, is next to the Shanghai Disney Resort. Known for its unique architectures, this village gathers over a hundred fashion, dining and leisure stores on a pedestrian street of jazz-inspired art deco style.
Hyakumangoku Gokurakuyu
Located within the Shanghai Lavender Park, the Hyakumangoku Onsen is a multi-functional complex with a total area of approximately 18,000 square meters, which combines leisure, entertainment, dining and shopping. There are five functional areas: the Welcome Landscape Area, the Leisure Landscape Area, the Streetscape Interactive Area, the Waterfront Landscape Area and the VIP Zone, and there are places to take photos everywhere.

Fu Lei Library
Fu Lei Library is the first library in Shanghai named after and built for a cultural celebrity. With a building area of 5500 square meters, it dedicated to becoming the home to all Fu Lei's translations, writings, and research monographs. Also, it is the first library in Shanghai to run late into the night all year round, that is, to be open until 12:00 pm across the year.
Zhou Pu Art Gallery
Zhoupu Town, reputed as "the most famous town in Pudong" and "miniature of Shanghai", was once named the "Township of Chinese Folk Art" by the Ministry of Culture. The Zhoupu Art Gallery, the first town-level art gallery in Shanghai, is housed in the scenic Zhoupu Park and has become a cultural landmark in the Zhoupu area with its bright and colorful interior and authentic artistic vibe.
Mianqing Park
As one of the seven exemplary parks in Shanghai's 14th Five-Year Plan, Mianqing Park is built around an island - Haitang Chungui. As the centerpiece of the entire park, the land is on the township of the whole lake side landscape. Created following the philosophy of a garden within a garden, Mianqing Park is vivid portrait of a watery scenery that embodies Hengmian's water township culture and folklore with typical scenic views of southern gardens. Surprising visitor with sights and rest places everywhere, it truly brings into reality the spatial vision of “a cross-shaped water corridor flowing through the ancient town, a chain of islands surrounding the Mianqing Park, and forested fields revealing the Jiebang Village”.
Ancient Town of Chuansha
The ancient town of Chuansha has survived through history and still retains its square-shaped town surrounded by a moat. Chuansha, once the famous "town of construction" in Shanghai and even in China, is also the birthplace of the Shanghai opera "Dongxiang Tune", and was once honored by the title of "Township of Chinese Folk Culture and Arts" by the Ministry of Culture. Huang Yanpei once said, "Pudong culture is rooted in Chuansha, and the essence of Chuansha culture is in Nei Shi Di". The town's special attractions include the Ancient Wall Park, Nei Shi Di, the Chuansha Construction Museum, the Memorial Archway built by the court of the Ming Dynasty for contributions made in building the city against the Japanese, the Heming Tower and the Ancient Street of Chuansha.
