4K Restoration｜Detective Kindaichi and the Godfather's Chess of the Wind

Since its inception in 2014, Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) has introduced Chinese audiences to a series of excellent film restorations in the "4K Restoration" unit. Today, we’d like to announce the first batch of films selected for the 4K Restoration unit.

Japanese film master Kon Ichikawa's THE INUGAMI FAMILY, a film that sets the standards for mystery movies; British film giant David Lean's epic of the World War I LAWRENCE OF ARABIA; THE PATH, directed by one of the pioneering women directors in Spain, Ana Mariscal; BLADE, a dark superhero film adapted from Marvel comics; BRIDGET JONES'S DIARY, a romantic comedy classic based on a popular book; CHESS OF THE WIND, an Iranian film masterpiece whose negative has been lost for almost half a century; MR. KLEIN, a timeless anti-war classic starring Alain Delon; THE GODFATHER, the immortal gangster classic directed by Francis Ford Coppola.
