Yangtze River Delta Film and Shooting Base Alliance

Today, news came out from SIFF that Shanghai Film and Television Production Services Institution and the first batch of 17 film and TV shooting bases in the Yangtze River Delta jointly announced the establishment of the Yangtze River Delta Film and Shooting Base Alliance and issued a consensus on the establishment of the alliance.

At the initiative of Shanghai Film and Television Production Services Institution, during last year's SIFF, various bases jointly issued the Yangtze River Delta Film and Television shooting Base Cooperation Mechanism, thus forming a close cooperative relationship. After a year of running-in, coupled with the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic on the film and TV industry, the bases believe that it is necessary to deepen cooperation to help the film and TV industry resume work and production, and promote the high-quality development of China's film and TV industry. Yangtze River Delta Film and Shooting Base Alliance established today will enhance the integration of resources, strengthen horizontal exchanges among alliance members, improve self-discipline in the industry, enhance ability of cooperation, and enable the integration of film and TV shooting services in the Yangtze River Delta.

Yu Zhiqing, head of the Shanghai Film and Television Production Services Institution, said that after its establishment, the alliance would actively create five “ones”: build “one set of film and TV shooting service system”, publish “one guide to film and TV shooting service”, build “one film and TV shooting information sharing platform”, form “one set of film and TV shooting location evaluation mechanism”, and organize “one batch of film and TV exhibitions to be presented together”. The alliance will actively implement the national strategy of integrated development in the Yangtze River Delta region, strive to promote the coordinated cooperation and joint development of film and TV shooting services in the Yangtze River Delta region, and help and promote the upgrading of the film and TV industry as well as substantially promote the common prosperity and development of the film and TV industry in the Yangtze River Delta.

The Shanghai Film and Television Production Services Institution also released a research report named Present Situation and Prospect of the Development of Film and TV Bases in China today, which provides decision-making reference for the development of film and TV bases.
