SIFF Market Terms and Conditions
1. Dates, Venue & Exhibition Hours
Date: June 17 (Sun) -19 (Tue), 2018
Exhibition Hours: 09:00 – 17:00 (16:00 last day)

2. Booth Application
a. The online application of SIFF Market is available at www.siff.com from Jan 1 to May 25, 2018. A careful read of the regulation is a must before the application. The exhibitor qualification is authorized by the organizer.
b. The booth can only be used by the exhibitor who rents it. Any transfer or re-allocation of the booth without permission from the organizer is forbidden. Or the organizer reserves the right to discharge the exhibitor’s right to participate and the payment will not be reimbursed.
c. The organizer reserves the right to approve or decline an application without any clarifications.
3. Rates & Payment
a. Pricing from January 1 2018 to February 28, 2018 :
Standard Booth 9m2: 9,800 RMB
Standard Booth 10m2: 11,900 RMB
Raw Space: 840 RMB/m2 (minimum application: 36m2)

b. Pricing from March 1, 2018 to May 25, 2018 :
Standard Booth 9m2: 14,000 RMB
Standard Booth 10m2: 17,000 RMB
Raw Space: 1,200 RMB/m2 (minimum application: 36m2)
* If pay in USD, please contact SIFF for specific rates.
c. 30% of the booth rental must be paid as deposit along with the application form within 5 working days, while a copy of the payment receipt should be attached (or by fax/scanned copy). Otherwise, the booth application will be invalid.
d. The balance should be paid before May 15, 2018. Any booth application after May 10, 2018 should pay full payment immediately once the contract effective. The organizer reserves the right to decline the exhibitor who fails to finish the payment in due course. The payment of deposit will not be reimbursed.
e. Those who decide to withdraw their application after the payment must notify the organizer in written form before May 10, 2018. Otherwise, the payment will not be reimbursed.
4. Booth Allocation
a. The floor plan of the Film Market will be published on the official website of the Shanghai International Film Festival. After the submission of booth agreement, the completion of payment, and the receipt of Booth Confirmation, exhibitors will able to select booth locations and confirm the selection with the organizer
b. “Booth Confirmation” will be dispatched to the exhibitor when the organizer confirming the booth application. Exhibitors should fill in related documents in the Exhibitor Manual and submit to organizer in time.
5. Booth Setup, Removal and Transportation
a. The exhibitors must finish the booth setup and removal according to the following schedule:
Set up for Raw Space: June 15 - 16, 2018, 09:00 – 17:00 daily
Set up for Standard Booth: June 16, 2018, 9:00-17:00
Removal starts from 15:00 and finishes before 21:00 on June 19, 2018 (the organizer will cover overtime costs of use of exhibition area). Exhibitors who are not able to complete the removal before 21:00 should pay the cost to the constructor on their own. All exhibitors must finish the removal before 24:00 on due date.
b. According to the security demands of the Shanghai Exhibition Center, exhibitors who rent raw space must provide the plan of the booth with clear indication of the size to the organizer 15 days before the set-up. The organizer disclaims any responsibility and its consequences if the exhibitor fails to provide the plan in time. Exhibitors should pay all responsibilities and costs for transporting the exhibits between the exhibition hall and their original place.
6. Booth Configuration
a. A standard 9m2 booth includes 8 complimentary badges which are 3 Exhibitor badges and 5 Market Guest badges ; A standard 10m2 booth includes 9 complimentary badges which are 4 Exhibitor badges and 5 Market Guest badges; For those who rent raw space, a 36m2 raw space includes 10 complimentary badges which are 5 Exhibitor badges and 5 Market Guest badges. Extra space rent over 36m2 will carry additional numbers of free badges using the following calculation: 4 free badges per each 10m2 space increase includes 2 Exhibitor badges and 2 Market Guest badges. Extra staffs and visitors require registration fee or the purchase of day pass to gain entrance.
b. A standard 9m2 booth includes 1 TV, 1 table and 2 chairs, and 1 information desk, etc. Please refer to the Exhibitors Manual for the specific standard.
c. A standard 10m2 booth allocates 1 TV, 1 table and 2 chairs, and 1 information desk, etc. Please refer to the Exhibitors Manual for the specific standard.
7. Market Administration
a. All exhibitors must abide by domestic laws and follow the organizer's instructions regarding customs, trading, security, etc.
b. Volume must be kept under 60 db when using audio equipment. The organizer reserves the right to prohibit the exhibitors to use the equipment when the equipment affects the pavilion area or other exhibitors.
c. Film market will hold for three days. No exhibitor is allowed to remove the booth before 15:00 on June 19, 2018 without organizer’s permission. The exhibitor should take the full responsibility for the consequence due to the early removal.
8. Badges and Accessibility
a. All exhibitors must register to the organizer and carry the valid badges provided by organizer to enter the exhibition hall. Badges cannot be reissued if lost. Badges cannot be transferred. The organizer reserves the right to expropriate the badge if anyone violate the rules.
b. Exhibitor badges can be collected at the Registration Centre of the Dome Hall of Shanghai Exhibition Center during June, 15 -- 19, 2018. Each exhibitor badge includes a market kit and accessibility to the Film Market, SIFF Project Market, SIFForum and the DVD screening room located in the market.
c. Market Guest badges can be collected at the Register place of the Dome Hall of Shanghai Exhibition Center or at Shanghai Film Art Center during June, 15 -- 21, 2018. Market Guest badges can access the Film Market, SIFF Project Market, and SIFForum. The Market Guest badge does not include the market kit.
d. Buyer badges can be collected at the Registration Centre of the Dome Hall of Shanghai Exhibition Center or at Shanghai Film Art Center during June, 15 -- 21, 2018. Each Buyer badge includes a market kit and accessibility to the Film Market, SIFF Project Market, SIFForum and the DVD screening room located in the market.
e. Day Pass ticket purchasing and permission: Day Pass can be purchased at Registration Centre of Shanghai Exhibition Center with ID card during the period of June 17-19, 2018. The day pass ticket is not available for pre-sell. The ticket can be used for attending the market events and SIFForum on that day. Participants should carry the badges when entering the pavilion. Badges cannot be reissued if lost. Badges cannot be transferred. The organizer reserves the right to expropriate the badge if anyone violates the rules. The Day Pass does not include the market kit.
9. Market Screening
a. The organizer has arranged a DVD screening room within the market for film promotion purpose. Exhibitors can apply to the organizer and list their DVDs at the screening room.
b. DVD copy of the movie must be delivered (or post) to SIFF Market Office before May 28, 2018. ( Exhibitor should cover the delivery/post fee ). The DVD copy of the movie which is provided by the exhibitor must contain Chinese or English subtitle.
