Synopsis:
Two men, one Chinese and one Westerner set off on a road journey through China, their destination is Beijing. Both of them have their reasons to get there. This is a road movie in the classic sense of being a journey of self discovery of both the men and the country they drive through. During their travels they encounter various adventures and people. This is a comedy with a serious twist. One of the men will discover who he is, the other one will vanish. The Chinese man is a family man who at the start of the film tries to commit suicide by driving his car into a river, out in the middle of nowhere, where the westerner is sleeping by the river-bank. The westerner is a single playboy hard drinking guy with a seemingly bleak future. They bond and discover who they are through a journey to their ultimate destination: Beijing - in hope of finding happiness.
